Night Covers for Open Refrigerated Display Cases

Econofrost heat reflective, woven aluminum night covers save energy and reduce compressor load on open refrigerated multi-deck display cases, coffin/bunker style cases, island merchandisers and refrigerated grab-n-go cases. In a Southern California Edison test of low-emissivity aluminum night shields on a multi-deck dairy case, compressor power fell 9% with the shields closed six hours overnight and 36% with them closed for a 24-hour holiday. Product temperatures stayed lower for up to 15 hours after the shields were opened.
